It's a logical question when David Irons is unopposed? <<<BR/><BR/><BR/>The answer is STATE LAW, which nominates 3rd , minor party (or independent) candidates directly to the General ballot at special nominating conventions. Ironically minor parties, under state law, have the convention process control of candidates that the major parties have sued in court to achieve.<BR/><BR/>Primaries are a form of Party welfare for the established Parties.<BR/><BR/>The answer is to abolish primaries and elect General election candidates by Instant Runoff Voting - while opening up filing to anyone who wants to file.
